www.suffolkpoker.co.uk is a poker community for poker players living in or around Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge and London. The website has been running smoothly now for six months and over this time we have been able to grow the community of poker players on the website. We have recently implemented a forum so that all the players who visit the website can communicate with each other to learn more about poker and to set-up poker games and events.
With poker a growing hobby for many people living in the UK there was a need to open a portal where everyone can connect and learn about live tournaments near them. Currently we list calendars with monthly events for the Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge and London area. You can find the calendars directly on the website and when you click on a tournament you’d like to participate in you will find out the information you need to know such as time, location and information about the buy-in and tournament structure.
When you’re not busy playing in live poker tournaments near you, you should be spending some time becoming a better poker player and we can assist you in that. We currently have strategy articles on the website and new articles and guides are added on a monthly basis. We also have a book store on Suffolk Poker where you can purchase low cost poker books written by some of the best poker players in the world which will definitely help your game.
Suffolk Poker is also sponsored by William Poker which is one of the most well known online poker rooms in the UK and a very trusted brand. We are just about to begin our first freeroll tournament which is taking place in the William Hill Poker room on March 22nd 2009. The tournament is free for all players from Suffolk Poker and it’s the first of many tournaments to come. The prize pool is $250 so make sure you sharpen your poker skills up this month so you can win some money in the tournament.
Our goal at Suffolk Poker is to provide everyone in the Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridge and London area a place to connect with other poker players. With the new forum I feel we should be able to start seeing a large increase in the activity of the community and I suspect it to be a great spot for meeting other poker players and finding live poker games.
